Authorities reported discovering more than 40 occupants inside the hotel, including Chinese, Myanmar and Shan nationals. During the extensive search, officers seized over 200 items believed to be connected with the alleged criminal enterprise.
Among the evidence recovered were quantities of ketamine, so-called “happy water” drug mixtures, drug packaging materials, casino chips, baccarat equipment, playing cards, dice, gambling tables, cash amounting to approximately 110,000 baht, bank accounts, ATM cards, mobile phones and extensive CCTV recordings.

Four Arrested During Operation

Authorities charged the Chinese suspect with offences relating to the sale and distribution of ketamine, classified in Thailand as a controlled psychoactive substance. During questioning, investigators said Liu admitted working at the hotel and acting as a supervisor responsible for delivering narcotics to customers upon receiving instructions.
According to police, he explained that drugs were stored in his room before being delivered directly to customers or collected by clients themselves. However, he denied ownership of both the seized narcotics and the 110,000 baht found inside a safe.
The three Myanmar nationals were arrested on immigration-related offences involving illegal entry into Thailand and unlawful residence. Reports indicated that they admitted entering Thailand to work in construction, although police continue investigating their precise involvement with activities inside the hotel.
While some admissions were reportedly made during questioning, authorities said suspects have denied other allegations and formal legal proceedings are continuing.
Property Had Previously Been Targeted
Investigators disclosed that this was not the first time the property had attracted police attention.
In 2023, immigration authorities raided the same hotel, arresting 49 individuals, including 26 Chinese gamblers and 23 Thai associates. Officers at that time seized gambling tables, slot machines and various pieces of gaming equipment before the premises were shut down.
