Bangkok police carried out a late-night raid at a luxury hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 13 early Sunday morning, arresting 29 men, including 28 Thais and one Filipino, after uncovering a drug-fuelled gay sex party. The high-profile operation took place around 12.30am at an upscale hotel in the Watthana district that is owned by a Thai-Punjabi businessman who also owns other hotels in Thailand, and was ordered by national police chief Pol Gen Kittharath Punpetch after receiving a tip-off about drug parties frequented by what authorities described as “upper-class circles.”

Inside the Shocking Raid Scene

More than 50 officers from multiple narcotics suppression divisions stormed the suite, discovering dozens of men dressed only in underwear, with many reportedly engaged in sexual activity when the raid began. According to this Hotel News-Crime, Accidents & Deaths news report, police seized a range of illicit substances, including 1.11 grams of methamphetamine, two meth pills, a bottle of liquid ecstasy, and 0.75 grams of ketamine. They also found two boxes of Viagra, 30 bottles of amyl nitrite (commonly known as poppers), syringes, drug paraphernalia, and a large stockpile of condoms and lubricants.

Charges and Investigation

Three suspects have been formally charged for drug possession, while urine tests confirmed that four others had recently consumed illegal substances. All those tested positive were taken to Lumpini Police Station for further questioning. Authorities said the party was organized by the same group previously caught during a similar operation in the Thong Lor area in December 2024. Police added that an undercover officer—described as a muscular and well-built man—was sent to infiltrate the group and provide intelligence on the illegal gathering.
