The latest signings represent another significant milestone in Hilton’s long-term commitment to Thailand, a destination that continues to attract international leisure travelers, families, luxury holidaymakers and cultural explorers alike. This Thailand Hotel News report comes as Hilton moves closer to surpassing 250 luxury and lifestyle properties across the Asia-Pacific region, with the company also planning to more than double its luxury and lifestyle portfolio across Southeast Asia over the coming years. The latest projects highlight Hilton’s confidence in Thailand’s tourism outlook and its belief that travelers increasingly seek hotels that offer distinctive local experiences rather than simply accommodation.
Phuket to Welcome First Curio Collection by Hilton Resort
The headline addition is Andamanda Voyage Phuket, Curio Collection by Hilton, which will become the first Curio Collection by Hilton property in Phuket when it opens in late 2026.
Located within the popular Andamanda Phuket destination in Kathu District, the 246-room lifestyle resort is being developed to complement one of Phuket’s best-known family attractions, the Andamanda Water Park. The project is expected to create an integrated holiday destination where guests can combine resort-style relaxation with entertainment, adventure and convenient access to many of Phuket’s leading attractions.
The resort will feature a wide range of guest facilities including an all-day dining restaurant, a welcoming lobby lounge, an outdoor swimming pool complete with a pool bar, and a dedicated children’s corner designed to appeal to families travelling with younger guests.
Unlike conventional resort developments, Andamanda Voyage Phuket has been conceived around the idea of discovery. Its name reflects the spirit of travel and exploration, while guestrooms will feature imaginative fantasy-inspired themes intended to transport visitors into a world of adventure before they even step into the adjoining water park or explore the wider island.
The Curio Collection by Hilton brand was selected because it allows individual hotels to retain their own identity while benefiting from Hilton’s global standards, reservation systems and customer loyalty network. With more than 200 Curio Collection properties operating worldwide, the Phuket resort will become a notable addition to an expanding portfolio of independently inspired luxury hotels.

Proud Group Highlights Vision for New Destination
Proud Group, Hilton’s development partner for the project, believes the new resort will significantly enhance the overall appeal of the Andamanda destination.
Executive Director Proudputh Liptapanlop said Andamanda Voyage represents an exciting new chapter for the destination, combining relaxation, family entertainment and adventure while encouraging visitors to discover Phuket’s wider tourism offerings.
She noted that additional details about the resort and its guest experiences will be revealed as development progresses towards its scheduled late-2026 opening.
The project also strengthens Hilton’s growing presence on Phuket, joining The Rawai Phuket, which is expected to debut in 2027 as Hilton’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts property on the island. Positioned on Phuket’s southern coastline, the luxury resort will focus on immersive nature experiences, providing another distinctive accommodation option within Hilton’s expanding premium portfolio.
Chiang Mai Gains Its First Tapestry Collection Hotel
Northern Thailand is also set to benefit from Hilton’s latest investment, with Chiang Mai preparing to welcome the city’s first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property.
The boutique hotel will feature 65 carefully curated guestrooms and will occupy a heritage building within Chiang Mai’s historic Old Town, an area internationally recognized for its cultural significance and surrounded by centuries-old moats and more than 300 ornate temples.
Designed to celebrate the artistry of traditional Northern Thai, or Lanna, architecture, the hotel aims to deliver an authentic local experience while incorporating contemporary hospitality standards expected by international travelers.
Its central location places guests within walking distance of many of Chiang Mai’s best-known attractions, including historic temples, bustling local markets, weekend walking streets and the city’s celebrated food scene, making it particularly attractive to visitors seeking cultural immersion.
Although Hilton has confirmed the signing of the project, the company has yet to announce an official opening date for the Chiang Mai property.

Lifestyle Brands Continue Global Expansion
The Tapestry Collection by Hilton has grown rapidly into a global portfolio of more than 200 hotels, with each property designed to reflect the unique character of its destination. Rather than adopting a standardized appearance, every hotel showcases local architecture, regional cuisine and authentic storytelling that creates a stronger connection between guests and the communities they visit.
Similarly, the Curio Collection by Hilton has established itself as one of Hilton’s fastest-growing lifestyle brands by allowing independent hotels to maintain their individual identity while benefiting from Hilton’s worldwide distribution and operational expertise.
Both new Thailand properties will participate in Hilton Honors, Hilton’s global loyalty programme covering all 28 of the company’s hotel brands. Members booking directly through Hilton channels will enjoy benefits including exclusive discounts, flexible Points and Money payment options, complimentary standard Wi-Fi and the ability to earn and redeem points throughout Hilton’s worldwide portfolio.
Hilton Sees Thailand as a Lifestyle Tourism Leader
Hilton executives believe Thailand remains one of Asia’s strongest destinations for lifestyle-focused tourism, making it an ideal market for further expansion.
Alexandra Murray, Hilton’s Vice President and Regional Head for Southeast Asia, described Thailand as long-established lifestyle powerhouses that naturally align with Hilton’s independent hotel brands.
She explained that both Curio Collection and Tapestry Collection enable hotels to express their own personalities while offering guests experiences deeply connected to each destination’s culture, heritage and identity. According to Murray, today’s travelers increasingly value memorable experiences rooted in local communities, architecture, cuisine and traditions rather than simply selecting accommodation based on location alone.
The latest signings reinforce Hilton’s broader growth ambitions across Asia-Pacific. Today the company operates a global portfolio of 28 hotel brands encompassing more than 9,400 properties and nearly 1.4 million rooms across 144 countries and territories, making it one of the world’s largest hospitality companies.
Thailand continues to play an increasingly strategic role within that global network, with international arrivals steadily strengthening and investors showing continued confidence in high-quality hospitality developments across the country’s leading tourism destinations.
Hilton’s latest projects demonstrate that the company’s long-term vision extends well beyond simply adding new rooms. Instead, the emphasis is firmly on creating distinctive lifestyle destinations that celebrate local culture while delivering internationally recognized service standards. From Phuket’s family-focused resort connected to one of the island’s premier attractions to Chiang Mai’s heritage-inspired boutique hotel in the heart of its ancient city, these developments underline Thailand’s continuing evolution as one of Asia’s most dynamic and diverse tourism markets. As construction progresses and further announcements emerge, both projects are expected to generate considerable interest among international travelers, tourism stakeholders and hospitality investors alike.
