The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, located in Phuket received 5 prestigious awards at the recent 2019 World Luxury Spa and Restaurants Awards that was held at St.Petesrburg, Russia last month.



The event was attended by more than 200 hotel and tourism industry leaders from around the world with more than 90 countries and 450 spas were represented in the nominations.

The World Spa and Restaurant Awards recognize establishments for premium-class service excellence. Winners are selcetd based on a rigorous selection and global voting system. Awards are categorized according to regional, continental and global basis. Getting an award and being recognized is considered the highest pinnacle of achievement for both spa and restaurant facility.

Naka bagged 5 awards at the ceremony including two for its 770sqm Spa Naka which were  1) Country Winner for Best Destination Spa Category and 2) Country Winner for Best Luxury Island Resort Spa Category.

Naka Island’s My Grill Restaurant got 3 awards including 1) Continent Winner for Magnificient Scenic View Category, 2) Country Winner for Luxury Grill Category and 3) Country Winner for Most Romantic Atmosphere Category.
The My Grill Restaurant is the resorts’s signature restaurant that offers a selection of gourmet steaks, local seafood  delicacies with a stunning beachside dining experience.

General Manager of Naka Island, Erich Friedl commented in an interview with Thailand Hotel News, “These Prestigious awards bears evidence that The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, is a resort and spa that has been specially designed to provide a unique and unbeatable experience in Phuket Thailand and that it is a resort that never stops trying to excel in terms of service and quality, always setting new benchmarks towards greater guest experience.”
